RK Women 2011 Collection- Sneak Peak...Online soon.
Rider Knits Fall/Winter Collection 2011 has finally arrived and I couldn't be happier with the final result. Over the summer my wonderful knitting team worked hard to finish the inventory. Before I go any further, I personally would like to thank them for all their hard work.
This collection captures my vision of a Canadian woman. She is confident in who she is and where she is going. She respects the earth and others around her. What she wears truly reflects her creativity and joie to vive. Here's to the Canadian woman. Continue to set trends and represent your own personal style.
The road was a long one to this point, but I'm so excited to finally share with you all what I have been dreaming up for the past few months. Each product is ethically produced using fair-trade materials. Every item is unique, for every hand-made good is always just a little different to refelct your individuality. This year, our Canadian wool supplier provided us with the finest merino, alpaca, organic cotton, and wool to make this collection the very best quality we have had yet.
I hope you enjoy our new look and if you have any questions, please contact me at riderknits@gmail.com.
Peace, love, and sunshine,

Rider Knits Press Release. The Honest Truth.
Busy, busy, busy. As each day goes by, my to- do list gets bigger and bigger. When there are demands from school, friends, family, and your company, it’s hard to find time for yourself. I am struggling to keep up with it all, to balance what I have to do with what I want to do. Rider Knits is my passion, but there are so many responsibilities that, unfortunately, come before it for the time being.
Confession…I am a business student. I have a lot of responsibility to keep up with the workload and contribute to class discussion for my classmates, professors and myself. Everyday I look at real business problems and evaluate the issues to form my own decisions. I’m learning so much about the business world, but where do I apply it?
Rider Knits' future development is being put on the backburner and I feel it is time to change that. Don’t worry, orders are still going through on time, however, all the exciting future ideas I have planned are still sitting on post-it notes. My goal is to use my business education to grow my knowledge to better run my company to its full potential. I am publicizing this in the hope for you, my valued customers and friends, to keep me accountable. I see a bright future for RK and I want nothing more than to give it my all. Unfortunately, I am still learning how to balance such an enormous workload along with my company.
My goals and objectives for this year:
1. To continue to develop the RK brand as a premium knitwear company.
2. Raise brand awareness across Canada through positive marketing efforts at each major University across Canada (Campus Reps) – to launch January 2011.
3. Continue to experience sales growth in the retail industry
4. Launch 2011 collection November 20, 2010.
It is my dream and ambition to pursue Rider Knits full-time so that I can do what I love and provide my customers with a unique product that stands behind a company that represents passion, creativity, and strong values. My commitment to this company goes well beyond the short-term, it is my dream to turn this company into a full-time career that I can be proud of and enjoy.
I am looking forward to seeing what the future holds for Rider Knits. Look out for the new collection launch at the end of November to see a glimpse of the new direction we are taking in the premium market. Please feel free to email me at riderknits@hotmail.com, I would be happy to hear from you!
Peace, love, & sunshine

The Tie Dye Revolution
There is a new revolution brewing. Tie-Dye is back and in full force. This throwback to the LOVE revolution is reborn and the runways are overflowing with it. From Tory Birch to Michael Kors the look is HOT and inspiring. Fashion, like music today, is mashing up different looks from different eras. Never before has the 1940's turbans, 1970s Rompers, or the 1960s Tie-dye been so popular- all at the same time. People are wearing a mash-up of different looks from all sorts of past eras to create a new look that is very modern and tres chic. In with the new and out with the old! Or is old in? You decide.
Rider Knits Press Release
For the past month or so, RK has been putting together what we think will be our best collection yet. We have been busy designing, hiring, and organizing our Twenty-Eleven Collection to be released Fall 2010. This year, all of our hats and accessories will be made in eco-friendly wool from our Canadian supplier. As always, all our hats will be made in Canada, to preserve the quality of our knitwear and to promote local Canadian businesses. We have also been keeping an eye out for the latest trends for the year, basically we are setting some of our own that we know you'll love. Look out for bright colours, beautiful earth tones, and vibrant palettes. We are so excited for the upcoming year and hope you are too!

I found love. Love of the ocean, love of the wind, and love of the sand. Cape Hatteras, North Carolina is an incredibly unknown paradise. It serves surf enthusiasts of all ages and caters to the adventurous and young at heart. I surfed, windsurfed, and kiteboarded in, what I think, is one of the most beautiful places in the world. Known for it's lighthouses and rolling sanddunes, Hatteras is a perfect place to explore what you love- or what you never knew you would love. It is also completely non-commercial, in the sense that it is not jam packed with all inclusive resorts. It's beaches are preserved and absolutely natural. Seriously, if you haven't checked out this fantastic place ...you should. Go with all your friends and enjoy a week or two in paradise.
