You may remember her as the heartbreaker in 500 Days of Summer, or the rebellious sister in Almost Famous-regardless there is no question that this brunette beauty is stealing the spotlight and our hearts. What I love about Deschanel is her vintage inspired fashion sense. Her hair, makeup, clothing and overall demeanor reflect that of a girl caught between the 50s and 60s. I love it. Aside from her acting career she is a singer/songwriter. She is the 'she' in the band, She & Him accompanied by M.Ward. Absolutely incredible and also very retro inspired lyrics and vocals. It goes without saying that this bold brunette bombshell is an icon to look out for.

Anthropologie is one of my favorite stores. I absolutely love the vintage vibe of the store's interior and the beautiful clothes that fill it. If you don't already know, Anthropologie also sells furniture and accessories to make your space into a wonderland that feels like a home. The whimsical pieces reflect that of vintage Bohemia but add a twist to keep it modern and trendy. Most of this is out of my price range, however be inspired by this store, you never know when you might come across an old couch at a garage sale that screams for a makeover! Keep it simple and elegant and you will love your home.
Spring colours are beautiful.
These colours are so perfect for a spring collection. I also love the geometric shapes. Love this look. Bows are all the rage right now and so is the sailor look, put them together and voila! I would love to see a red skirt with the navy and white tank, for a more nautical vibe. Beautiful all the same. I want :)
I had a little fun creating this advert for a class of mine. The ad was created to complement the Rider Lifestyle, which is earthy creative and fun. I used a green colour palette and added pops of red to accentuate the red bow headband. The greenery resembles British Columbia's magical forestry to further allude to the company's brand image, which is very Canadian. So go ahead, embrace nature by ordering your own organic knits. xox KC

Newest design. A take off my grey bow headband. Beautiful and unique. Captures the free-spirit in everyone and adds a bit of high-fashion to keep up with the hottest trends--bows. I had fun designing it and the photo shoot was also a blast. Beauty lies within, and maybe with a little help from adorable headbands. xox KC
So, I am very excited to announce the release of a few new designs. We have the Red Bow headband and the classic Black Bow Headband. The photoshoot was yesterday, taken by the fantastic photographer, John Douglas. Had so much fun, even in the cold cold weather, we made it work. Another photoshoot tomorrow in the village! Peace love and sunshine- KC
Gabrielle "Coco" Chanel, my fashion icon and world-renown fashion designer created the new scent that women everywhere would go crazy for. She was known for her revolutionary fashion that changed the way women dressed. She also changed the way women wore their scent. Her perfume would allow women's natural scent to peak through without dousing themselves in copious amounts of floral scents. The thing I find fascinating and inspiring about Chanel is her ability to brand the No.5 into, what was at the time, the most expensive perfume in the world. No.5 is a simple name, yet the way it was packaged and the high-quality contents of the fragrance, particularly the jasmine extract, gave it the luxurious appeal. Before the product came out on the market, Chanel spread the word by spraying it around the room during parties so her dinner guests would experience it for themselves. She told them all that it was not for sale. As soon as she released the product, she only sold it to a few privileged clientele to raise the product's exclusivity and glamour. No.5 is a strong example of how a product, when coupled with great marketing and design, can become a worldwide phenomenon... forever. LOVE.
